Den engelske dramaserie ”The House of Eliott” fra 1991 har tidligere været vist på TV2 med stor succes. Serien vandt i starten af 90'erne både den engelske Bafta Award og den amerikanske Emmy Award.

Handlingen finder sted i 20'ernes London og handler om de to søstre Beatrice og Evangeline, der efter deres ”velhavende” fars død finder ud af, at han ikke efterlader sig nogen arv overhovedet. Søstrene beslutter sig herefter for at gå ind i modebranchen og designe og producere kjoler .. inden længe er deres firma ”The House of Eliott” det smarteste og mest prestigefyldte etablissement i London.
