Gigantiske hundeslagsmål, forvredne menneskekroppe og kranier vokser frem mellem hænderne på ham, mens han reflekterer over sit liv og virke, og filmen bringer os ind under huden på Jørgen Haugen Sørensen som menneske og kunstner.

Filminstruktøren Malene Ravn har fulgt Jørgen Haugen Sørensen i de sidste 10 år, hvor han er vendt tilbage til leret og det figurative, som han startede med som ganske ung.

Jørgen Haugen Sørensen bruger sine lerskulpturer som fortællinger, og filmen skildrer med et intenst nærvær kunstneren i hans arbejde, fra spæd følelse, tanke, idé til færdigt værk, og man fornemmer hans enorme energi.
Malene Ravn giver Jørgen Haugen Sørensen stemme i denne medlevende film. Hans værker er en grum og sarkastisk kommentar til vor menneskelige situation.
